An octagon makes everything better.
At least it did in the case of this home!
Resting on a lovely lakeside lot, this tired 1950s Lake Elmo home was feeling its age and was in need of a little help.
We wanted to make this house as enjoyable as the land on which it sits! So, here’s what we did.
We tore off the giant side porch and added a second-story octagon instead, making room for a beautiful new kitchen and dining room (with a view!).
Adding a new flat roof, all new windows and brand new Hardi lap siding and panels gave the outer-shell of this home a refresh as well.
Next up? We’ll be tackling the entire main level, including bathrooms, bedrooms, the living room, and creating a master bed-and-bath suite complete with walk-in closet.
The project is still going strong.
The homeowners are still happy.
