With summer weather here we are excited to be outdoors and working on home exteriors! We recently had the opportunity to install new siding on the home and garage of a 1978 home. The homeowner, Jim, asked us to replace their deteriorating siding and help them to give their residence a fresh new look in a long-lasting material.
The challenge? A tight turnaround! Explains Jim, “This was a last minute project and we needed it completed quickly so we could move on to other things. Doug was able to finish in just under two weeks – an impressive accomplishment for a task of this size.” Our team tore off the old siding and replaced it with new on both the home and garage. For this project we used James Hardie siding. We love using James Hardie siding since it boasts the HardieZone system – a climatically customized siding developed using eight individual climatic variables. The end result? A siding perfect for harsh Minnesota winters and warm midwestern summers.
In addition to replacing the siding, we also tackled window installation. We replaced three windows in the family’s garage and installed a new front door on their house.
We were quite pleased with the end result – but our ultimate report card always comes from our customer. “The end result was a job well done. We are very pleased with how everything turned out. The job went well and faster then we expected. Doug was very accommodating and helped us decide on the best way to do the job. There was some extra work that was not part of his bid that he willingly completed and to our surprise at no extra charge. The job site was always cleaned up at the end of each day. Doug also stayed in constant communication with us during the process, so we knew what to expect,” said Jim.
